The village is the first that views whoever enters in the gulf of Moydros. Thus from the lyhnos (oil lamps) his houses that they saw the old seamen was named Lyhna. It was refered hardly in 1785 from the Choisseul-Gouffier with the name Taligna (the Lyhna).
